Leslie Mampe, of Jozi fame, will be releasing his first solo album this week, titled FRESH2DEF. Leslie is South Africa’s Chris Brown. He can sing, he can dance, he presents a TV show, he is the face of AMA KIP KIP as well as he is a friendly guy! I was lucky enough to ask this very busy guy a few questions.

Mika: What can we expect from the Fresh2Def album?
Leslie: Fresh2Def means good for the ear… People can expect a very fresh all round 16 track hip hop album

Mika: What is your favorite song on the album?
Leslie: I don’t have a favorite, I love them all ☺

Mika: Do you feature any exciting artists on the album, if yes, who?
Leslie: Yes, Bongz, Yessur, Maggz, L-Tido, Tek Neek, Cook and Daniel Buys.

Mika: Does this mean Jozi is over?
Leslie: Never!!! The solo album wasn’t planned. It just so happened I made enough songs in a certain period of time for me to put on disc for Da L.E.S. fans and for the Jozi fans. Bongz produced the album, and we are in studio everyday!! The second Jozi album is on the way!

Mika: What’s the next big thing for Leslie?
Leslie: Well the Fresh being you campaign, powered by ubyou.com. My very own wap portal where people can download anything from wallpapers, ring tones, videos and etc… I’m also looking to broad into radio.

Mika: Why should people come to your launch party?
Leslie: It’s the FRESH2DEF Launch!! How could you not!

Mika: What would you like to say to your fans?
Leslie: A big thanks to you guys, without you I wouldn’t be anywhere. I love y’all, Peace!
